Shocking dash cam footage shows a motorist deliberately swerve across the road to knock a cyclist off his bike.
Ashley Wallace Merrett smashed into the victim on a road in Colchester, Essex, before driving away.
The 30-year-old was jailed for one year and four months today after admitting dangerous driving, actual bodily harm and common assault.
The clip shows him driving into a cycle lane in order to hit the victim, Essex Live reports.
The cyclist, a man in his 30s, was with a friend on North Station Road in Colchester when Merrett braked sharply close by in his Ford Mondeo.
