A primary school has become the first in the world to install bulletproof storm shelters inside classrooms just weeks after 17 pupils and teachers were killed in Florida.
Healdton Public Schools in Oklahoma, which has children as young as four as pupils, brought in seven shelters into its elementary school and two larger ones into its middle school.
They are also planning on bringing more into the high school too.
The shelters can hold up to 35 children and two teachers, and the school's superintendent Terry Shaw even sat inside one, while the makers shot at it to demonstrate how safe it was.
He told local news channel KOCO: "When tornadoes strike, and Lord help us, when you have an intruder on campus, to know that you have somewhere to go quickly for the safety of your students, it's very relaxing."
