This adorable baby boy is facing a race against time for life-changing surgery after he was born with a horn growing from the top of his head,
Seven-week-old boy Nhel Jhon Prado developed encephalocele while he was in the womb but the growth went undetected.
Nhel was born at the start of January after a difficult labour and doctors were shocked at the egg-size swelling on his head which had broken through the fontanelle region.
Parents Angel Puerto, 20, and Ronel Prado, 20, took Nhel back to their home in Manila, Philippines, but he has since needed round-the-clock care redressing the tender lump which has grown rapidly.
The family are now waiting for a life-saving operation to remove the birth defect, which is being delayed by the costs at the Pasig General Hospital.
