WARNING - GRAPHIC IMAGES: The tragic fate of the endangered animal is part of a killing spree of rare wildlife that also saw an orangutan shot 130 times
A critically endangered tiger was brutally killed and its body parts hacked off allegedly to be sold as traditional medicine and souvenirs.
The tragic fate of the animal is part of a sickening killing spree of rare wildlife in Indonesia that also saw an orangutan shot 130 times.
Animal rights activists said the tiger had likely been killed with the hope of its 'valuable' body parts being used for profit.
The Sumatran tiger was found in the village of Mandailing Natal, North Sumatra, with missing teeth, claws and facial skin.
Sickeningly, the killers had also hacked off its tail.
