US and NATO armies have flexed their military might just months after Russian war games in what has been called the largest artillery event in Europe since the Cold War.
More than 3,700 soldiers from fourteen NATO allies participated in a joint military drill called Dynamic Front 18 in Grafenwoehr, Germany.
The aim is to boost interoperability between the allied armies so that they can "better operate together against an enemy," Colonel Damian of the French Army said.
Led by the US Army Europe, the training exercises are designed to focus on the interoperability of the US Army with its allies, by testing allied nation artillery and fire support in a multinational environment.
