According to this border agent that spoke with Pres. Trump as the president visited the prototype walls that are currently being manufactured and put in place along the Mexican/American border, 95% of illegal crossings were actually stopped with the much cheaper and far less secure scrap metal wall that was currently being used throughout many parts of the country.
The border agent did admit that these walls are easily scaled and beaten, however, illegals prefer the easiest route possible so they attempt to avoid the walls.
Border agents have praise president Trump for actually following through on his promise to build the border wall. Unlike Democrats who are begging for illegal immigrants to vote for them so they are attempting to stop the wallet every chance possible.
