Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) said that Hillary Clinton should quit talking about the 2016 election during an interview on “Meet the Press” Sunday.
NBC’s Chuck Todd asked Brown whether controversial comments Clinton made during a recent trip to India affected Brown’s credibility among his constituents.
During a recent trip to India, Clinton suggested that Trump supporters didn’t like African Americans “getting rights,” or women “getting jobs.”
“I’m not going to look back,” Brown said.
Brown then attempted to dodge answering the question by attacking President Trump for mentioning that he won the 2016 election often.
“Maybe the press ought to stop covering it, and maybe Hillary and Trump ought to quit talking about it. I mean, the election is over,” Brown said.
