Man makes heartbreaking discovery left by cruel squatter in basement of new house

There's always a risk you might inherit something surprising when you move into a new home.



Japanese knotweed, odd property parameters, damp, obnoxious neighbours - there's a long list of things which may slip through the net.



However one man made a heartbreaking discovery in the basement of his new home , which nothing could have prepared him for.



After recently purchasing his new house, the unnamed man, from St Louis, Missouri, found that it already had a four-legged resident.



A helpless dog had been chained up in the basement and let to die in an extremely distressing state.
