Horrifying footage has emerged of the moment a fire broke out in a Russian shopping centre metres from where families were happily playing with their children.
The inferno in the Siberian city of Kemerovo is confirmed to have killed 64 people - with at least 41 of them children but there are fears the death toll is higher.
Many charred corpses will need DNA matching to be recognised, said officials.
In the terrifying CCTV footage families can be seen fleeing as soon as the fire breaks out and in seconds the camera is shrouded in the blackness of thick, acrid smoke.
The mall's shops, cinema and bowling alley were packed at the time.
The Winter Cherry mall partially collapsed and was gutted by the fire with local reports indicating as many as 100 may have been killed in the blaze.
