A man who was threatening to jump from a bridge was saved by police in a dramatic rescue.
Helicopter footage captured the distressed man standing on the edge of the Triborough Bridge, known officially as the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge since 2008, in New York, on Sunday afternoon.
Traffic was stopped on the bridge and air bags set up below, as officers tried to talk to the man.
The 31-year-old man had a rope and was threatening to jump as he stood perilously close to the edge.
