Two people were killed and three others injured in a car collision on a road in Zhongjiang County of Deyang City, southwest China's Sichuan Province, on Saturday.
Two cars collided head-on at around 18:00 in the road section, with one of the two soon catching on fire. The passers-by who were trying to offer help on site said the flames were too fierce to be put out.
The two killed were said to have died instantly in the accident, and the three injured were rushed to the closest hospital by an ambulance arrived later.
Local authorities and police department dispatched firefighters, police officers and medical workers to handle the situation.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
