Multiple people were shot in downtown San Diego Monday night, Authorities confirmed to the station that five people were taken to area hospitals with serious wounds -- but apparently non-life-threatening wounds.
Police were on the scene, interviewing witnesses. They fanned out seeking evidence such as shell casings, and were checking trashcans. The shootings occurred at about 11 p.m. Monday near the intersection of 15th and Island streets.
