Dramatic CCTV footage captured Siva Sivapathasumtharam, 37, embroiled in a terrifying struggle with Jac Burrows, who attempted to snatch cash from the till at the family-run business in Lowestoft, Suffolk.
Burrows, 23, sobbed in the dock this week as he was sentenced to four-and-a-half years for robbery and possession of a knife in a public place.
Video shows Burrows barged his way behind the counter while wielding a kitchen knife before tussling with Mr Sivapathasumtharam.
