Police are hunting the two masked thugs caught on camera using machetes to try and smash their way into a terrified motorist's window.
With their faces hidden by black balaclavas, the two men are seen jumping out of a silver BMW and attempting to smash open the window of the car directly behind them with hammers and machetes.
The sustained attack took place on Saturday evening on a residential street in Birmingham, according to Birmingham Live.
While one thug uses the BMW to ram the victim's Toyota backwards, the other continues to hack at the car with a machete.
The sustained attack, which took place in broad daylight, panics the driver who reverses into another car in a bid to escape.
