A 24-year-old man has been arrested after key CCTV footage showed him leading a four-year-old girl away from a sweet shop before allegedly raping and knifing her to death.
The surveillance footage, which was filmed in an Indian village 50 miles outside New Delhi, shows the man calmly leading away his boss's daughter from the shop where he worked.
The man, known as Bholu, reportedly took the girl to the house he shared with his mother before raping and stabbing her.
He then attempted to cover his tracks by allegedly hiding her body in a container before returning to the shop.
According to police, Bholu later volunteered to help find the girl when her parents reported her missing.
