A zoo keeper threw his slipper at a lion in front of shocked guests at a safari park.
The incident was captured on camera at the Taygan safari park in Ukraine.
Clearly spooked by the slipper, the adult male lion ran away after being hit.
The footage shows zoo director Oleg Zubkov in the enclosure with what appears to be a group of zoo visitors.
The group are in a completely open vehicle with no sides and Mr Zubkov quickly notices a young lioness is being harassed by the dominant male and older lionesses.
