Stunned diners watched on as armed police swooped on a criminal suspected of being in possession of a loaded firearm.
Footage shows how flying squad arrested Michael Rice, 25, outside the Tavern pub on Smithdown Road in Liverpool on December 4 of last year.
Dozens of officers were involved in the tightly-organised operation which was filmed by one witness from a window above.
Liverpool Crown Court heard officers were tracking Rice's movements and found him with a Tesco bag carrying the loaded Glock semi-automatic gun, four magazines of ammunition and a firearm cleaning kit.
Earlier covert surveillance had observed him carrying the bag out of the house of Shaun Devonport, 28, in Micawber Close, Toxteth.
