The world’s first 3D-printed housing estate is being built in the Dutch city of Eindhoven.
The estate will be made up of five houses, which will be carefully 3D-printed by researchers from the Eindhoven University of Technology and Houben & Van Mierlo Architecten, using concrete.
The first house will be a single-floor, three-room house measuring 1,000 square feet, while the other four will be multi-storey units.
Concept images reveal that the houses will have quirky shapes, based on ‘erratic blocks in the green landscape.’
