A man walking down the street suddenly takes out what looks like a large weapon and strikes the passerby on the back during the bizarre incident , said to be in Birmingham city centre.
The victim was recorded standing by benches when the other man approached from the side.
After he's struck the victim begins to move away but the attacker walks after him.
Both men then moved out of the frame and the clip stopped, Birmingham Live reports.
