A Yodel delivery driver was caught hurling £450 worth of antiques down a 15ft flight of concrete steps before being confronted by an angry customer.
CCTV showed two boxes reportedly containing fragile porcelain and china items being carelessly tossed out of the van and bouncing down the stairs.
But when the courier is caught out by the furious buyer Patrick Duffy, he starts carefully piling the packages at the top of the steps before carrying them down.
The driver's employer Yodel says it has apologised to Patrick, 68, and has taken 'appropriate action' following the incident.
Patrick, from Bradford in West Yorkshire, said: "I'd spent about £450 on antiques from eBay.
"It was absolutely disgusting. I watched as he took the boxes out of the back and threw them down the flight of 12 stairs without any care.
