This is the dramatic moment charity workers rescued an abused brown bear that had been caged for years in horrific conditions at an Armenian home.
Footage released by the International Animal Rescue shows how staff freed the drugged animal by removing the thick iron bars from its cramped enclosure and pulling it to safety.
The emaciated bear is then examined by the concerned rescuers who check its claws and fur and administer a vaccine.
The person recording the video claimed the animal was one of five bears being held at the summer home of an army general in Echmiadzin, Armenia.
Two of the freed animals will be taken to live at Yervan Zoo while the remaining three rescued bears will be given to another wildlife group operating in the country.
