An investigation was opened into the situation surrounding the use of a Taser on a suspect that was seen in a viral video, according to Lancaster Mayor Danene Sorace.
Sorace announced the investigation in a Facebook video statement she made Thursday afternoon.
First reported by Lancaster Online, Sorace said in the statement she was upset by the now viral video, showing a man, later identified as Sean Williams, 27, sitting down on the sidewalk as a police officer ordered him to straighten out his legs. A stun gun was eventually used on Williams.
