Expert diver stops 70 stone tiger shark from chomping friend who turns back on beast

This is the moment a diver was saved from a 70 stone shark by a quick-thinking instructor.



Dive coach Eli Martinez had come to the end of his session at Tiger Beach, in the Bahamas, when Joe Wong naively turned his back on the toothy beast.



As Joe retreats towards the boat, a huge tiger shark - named Hook - makes an opportunistic swoop towards him.



Eli grabbed the giant by the nose and pushed her away from Joe, preventing a potentially fatal incident.



He now uses footage of the encounter as a training video for divers.
