Brit in Aiya Napa smashes wine bottle over his own head leaving massive cut while friends watch

This is the moment a Scot smashed a glass bottle against his head - leaving bloody wound above his eye.



The footage was filmed in the notorious Cypriot holiday resort of Ayia Napa, the Daily Record reports.



The man utters anti-Catholic abuse as he attempts the reckless dare.



The clip, recorded in the early hours of July 13, was uploaded to social media with the caption: "How to destroy a bottle of MD” - a reference to MD 20/20 wine.



In the video, the man can be heard being told not to smash the bottle, which he is grasping in what appears to be a jacket.



With both hands the man smashes the bottle into his forehead with sufficient force to completely destroy it, sending shards of glass flying.
