A crime suspect who had abandoned his bike was arrested after a police officer borrowed it to chase him down the street.
The unnamed police officer was hailed by colleagues on Twitter after West Midlands Police response team posted a video of the pursuit in Birmingham.
The panicked suspect ditched the bike and attempted to run away after spotting a police car, according to officers.
Bodycam footage shows the officer riding along the street on the same bike the suspect reportedly discarded moments before.
The officer quickly catches up with a man wearing black shorts and a t-shirt.
