Alun Elder-Brown, 60, drew comparisons with former South African president Mr Mandela and former English Defence League leader Tommy Robinson.
Mr Elder-Brown is also secretary for Ukip in Tunbridge Wells.
On Twitter and his Facebook page on June 6, he said: "If Nelson Mandela (convicted terrorist) is such a 'hero', why have Antifa and the liberal-left got such a problem with Tommy Robinson (not a terrorist)?
"Rip down Mandela's statue in Parliament Square and replace it with one of Free Tommy a home-grown freedom fighter."
