Bodies of three children who were drowned in the Gokyo glacial lake on Saturday have not been retrieved yet due to bad weather and geographical difficulties, said the District Police Office. “Bodies of the children float from time to time. But we are struggling to fish them out for want of rescue materials,” said Inspector Nabin Rai.
Pemba Dorje Sherpa, Pemba Nuru Sherpa and Sunil Baraili were drowned in the lake on Saturday morning while swimming. All of them were ninth grader at Khumjung Secondary School. They had gone on an educational tour to the incident area.
