Newborn baby pulled out of DRAIN with umbilical cord still wrapped round its neck

A screaming newborn baby with his umbilical chord wrapped around its neck has been pulled alive from a DRAIN.



The heartbreaking discovery was made by a milkman who was passing by when he heard the baby's cries from the drain in southern India.



Captured by an onlooker, a video shows a woman known only as Geeta, reaching into the storm drain to pull the tiny infant out.



After carefully unwrapping his umbilical cord from around the traumatised baby's neck, Geeta then cleans the tot in a bowl of water.



She told local media in Tamil Nadu state: "I reacted immediately, it was spontaneous.
