A man who was seriously injured after he crashed a stolen motorbike and slid under the wheels of a car has been criticised for his "staggering stupidity" in court .
Nathan Rose lost control of the stolen bike as he sped around a corner with a passenger on the back in Blyth, Northumberland.
Neither Rose nor his passenger had helmets on, having chosen instead to wear ski masks to cover their faces.
Newcastle Crown Court heard the 21-year-old suffered a bleed on the brain and a fractured pelvis, while his passenger received a leg injury, Chronicle Live reported.
