Commuters cheated death as a glass panel plunged from a train station's ceiling and shattered next to them as Japan was battered by Typhoon Jebi.
Dramatic footage shows the panel falling inside Kyoto station as winds of up to 130mph wreaked havoc across parts of the country.
In the video, a loud bang is followed by the sound of breaking glass as the panel hurtles towards a group of people below.
It then crashes onto the floor with a huge thud just feet from the shocked group, scattering shards of glass all over as several people yell.
The close call happened as Jebi cut across the west of Japan on Tuesday, killing at least six people and injuring more than 100.
