At least four people have been left injured following a huge explosion in the middle of a fireworks display.
Buildings and homes were also damaged in the incident yesterday which was sparked after organisers left a box of fireworks in the church roof.
Two people - a 36-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman - suffered burns and were rushed to hospital.
Two others were treated at the scene for shock, reports El Universal .
José Ramón Amieva, Mexico City's head of government, indicated that there were damages in four homes in the area.
