A man spending the night in a police cell managed to escape by squeezing through the bars after the policeman guarding him fell asleep.
CCTV caught the wanted man prying open the grills of the window, before wiggling through to freedom.
Before escaping, he had the presence of mind to collect his shoes which had been kept outside the door.
The incident occurred at a police station in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh, India, on September 25.
The police had arrested local man, 28-year-old Seva Kushwaha, on September 21 on the charge of breaking into a mobile phone shop and stealing several expensive handsets.
