A concerned mum who noticed ear smudges on the windows of her house checked CCTV to discover a half-naked man 'listening' outside.
Her home security camera caught the shirtless and barefoot wanderer walking up to her property and pressing his ear against her windows.
The disturbing CCTV footage captures the moment he strolls up to her house and then runs away several moments later, reports Essex Live.
The Wickford mum, who wishes to remain anonymous, first installed the cameras after becoming unnerved when she noticed smudges on three windows.
She said: "I first noticed the ear prints on September 14, on three windows.
"It may have been on the same night or different occasions, I really don't know."
