Conor McGregor almost landed a blow on Khabib Nurmagomedov before the first bell as the pair clashed at Friday's weigh-in.
The Irishman came on to the T-Mobile Arena stage to huge cheers from his countrymen and took his time soaking in the atmosphere.
He then stalked around waiting for Nurmagomedov to appear before the pair stared each other down while adopting karate stances.
McGregor knocked away the hands of president Dana White who was keeping the pair apart, and then kicked out, falling short of the UFC lightweight champion before the pair were separated.
