A particularly large alligator crunching down on the shell of its turtle lunch created a sickening sound, and it was caught on camera.
Tim Thompson was travelling through the western Everglades in Florida when he stumbled upon the nine-foot-long beast in the middle of the road.
He started filming mere seconds before the gator took its first bite, filling the Florida air with a loud ‘crack’.
