Long Beach, CA - Police on Monday sent out a video and photo of an armed robber they’re trying to identify after he held up six businesses in the last few weeks around Long Beach.
The man robbed restaurants, a pet store and a wireless store between Nov. 27 and Dec. 7, police said. “In each of the incidents, the suspect armed with a handgun approaches the cashier attempting to purchase an item. Once the cashier opens the till the suspect then robs the cashier and flees the location,” police said in a news release.
Video from one store’s security camera shows the man grabbing cash from a register drawer as the cashier tries to close it. All the stick-ups happened between 4:45 p.m. and 10:40 p.m., police said. Police described the man as black, between 40 and 50 years old with a medium build.
