The video shows a missile soar hundreds of feet into the air and lighting up the night sky after it dramatically explodes into a dozen fireballs. Billowing smoke trails follow flaming pieces of the failed rocket which plummet to Earth causing further massive explosions as they slam into snow-covered the ground close to military testing facilities. The incident happened at the Kasputin Yar rocket launch and development site in the Astrakhan region of southern Russia, less than 70 miles east of Volgograd where England played Tunisia during this summer’s World Cup. The missile is believed to be an S-350 Vityaz, a medium range surface-to-air rocket that has been in service with the Russian army since 2009.
