The bone-crunching moment a police officer on his bike is smashed between two cars by an out-of-control driver has been caught on dashcam.
About 11am on Sunday, the officer pulled over a black Subaru hatchback on the left-hand shoulder of the Pacific Highway near Nambucca Heads on the mid-north coast of New South Wales.
As the officer was running a check on the driver of the vehicle, a Mazda 2 can be seen in the footage crossing into the left shoulder from behind another vehicle and smashing directly into the officer and the stationary Subaru.
Luckily, the patrol officer escaped with only a broken leg after being treated at the scene by an off-duty doctor who pulled over to help.
