Man Attacked By Gang With Machetes As Sister Screams For Help In Horror Footage

Liverpool-A man was slashed and attacked with machetes by a hooded gang as his sister begged for them to stop, in a horror attack caught on camera.



The victim's clothes can be seen ripping as he is repeatedly slashed and assaulted with the knives while his sister can be heard screaming for help and shouting: "Call the police".



He was set upon by while standing outside the Everydayz shop in Vauxhall, Liverpool at around 6.15pm last night.



The mobile phone clip shows the man lying helpless on the ground while a balaclava-clad attacker repeatedly thrusts the weapon at his back.



The name Stephen can be heard being shouted as the attackers flee the scene.



Police said they were aware of the video, which has been widely shared on social media, and enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the incident are continuing.



Three men, armed with what was described as a machete and a baseball bat, escaped the scene in a small van along Vauxhall Road out of the city.



The man suffered stab wounds to his leg and his back, and his sister suffered a minor injury to her arm.



They were both taken to hospital where his condition is described as stable and his sister also received treatment.
