A dad who hurled his kebab and chips at a " homeless " man during a night out has been spared jail - and instead been asked to give the victim £50.
Adam Thorpe, 29, pushed his takeaway into the man's face in December last year.
But he was caught on camera and quickly condemned on social media.
Thorpe appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Monday where he admitted common assault.
However, the father was spared jail and ordered to pay just £50 to the victim, Derby Telegraph reports.
He'll also complete a 12-month community order which will include 80 hours of unpaid work.
The chairman of the bench said: "Your behaviour was assault and clearly it was triggered by alcohol.
