This is the shocking moment a man steps out of his vehicle and almost kills a store assistant with the swing of a bat.
A surveillance camera caught the near-fatal assault Monday morning in the Dominican Republic province of Santiago.
José Alberto Álvarez Guzmán, who is also known as 'El Quesero' ['Cheese Man'], allegedly hit Delice Romain, 34, in the jaw with a bat.
Romain, a Haitian migrant worker, instantly crashed to the sidewalk before Álvarez Guzmán climbed in his car and drove off.
According to police reports, witnesses said an argument ensued between Álvarez Guzmán and the victim because Romain's cargo truck was blocking a traffic lane after the vehicle had ran out of gas. The truck belonged to the hardware store where he was employed.
The enraged motorist then exited his white Hyundai Sonata after Romain stepped near it and opened the door.
