A winery owner learned his vineyard has been destroyed by an out-of-control bushfire after he saw a home on his property explode on TV while he sought refuge at a cafe.
Firefighters are continuing to battle the wildfire in Bunyip State Park, 65km east of Melbourne, after lightning sparked the intense blaze on Friday night.
Owner of Jinks Creek Winery, Andrew Clarke, was seeking refuge with his wife Abigal and other terrified locals at a Bunyip cafe on Sunday when he saw his property engulfed in flames on the news, The Sydney Morning Herald reported.
