A well-known YouTube prankster from Sarasota is behind bars after his latest joke.
Charles Ross, 25, was arrested Wednesday after deputies say he impersonated a police officer and scared a young mother.
Deputies say Ross approached the woman carrying two children in a Walmart parking lot and attempted to ticket her for false traffic charges. Ross was wearing a full law enforcement uniform and had a baton on his belt at the time, the sheriff's office says.
Deputies posted surveillance video of the prank on their Facebook page. The sheriff is expected to release more information Friday morning.
Ross is well-known both in Sarasota and around the country for his Ross Creations YouTube page. Several of his pranks have gone wildly , including one of him sneaking hot dogs into customers' pockets in a grocery store.
