A trio of prisoners drunk on illicit hooch sparked a three-hour stand-off and brawl after tying ligatures around their neck and threatening to jump.
Part of the shocking incident at HMP Humber in East Yorkshire was captured on CCTV and shows officers in riot gear attempting to diffuse the situation, which happened in May 2017.
Inmates Adam Windass, Ryan Skelton and Shaun Smith could be seen brandishing table legs at prison officers, who surrounded them with riot shields, reports Hull Live.
The trio had made their way onto netting between the floors of the wing. They were inches from the edge when officers deployed a Pava (pepper) spray to incapacitate them.
