A woman needed emergency surgery to remove a necklace she swallowed during a family dispute.
Qui Xiuying, 52, of Binzhou in China's Shandong province, was rushed to hospital after ingesting the 40cm (15.7in) long gold chain in front of her family members on May 1.
Family members claimed Ms Qui had ripped off her necklace in anger and swallowed it following a heated row with her relatives.
Doctors at the Binzhou No 2 People's Hospital performed an abdominal X-ray on Ms Qui and found the jewellery lodged in her stomach.
