An 80-year-old man suffered serious injuries including a broken wrist, nose and cheekbone in a 'nonsensical' attack on a London street.
The pensioner was walking with his wife in Penge, South East London, when he was assaulted and hit a brick wall as he fell shortly before 8pm on April 21.
Scotland Yard said the couple had almost been hit by a silver car as they crossed the road and the driver had been involved in a 'verbal altercation' with the victim.
