Four stray dogs that had been trapped in a gap between two homes for at least seven hours have finally been rescued.
The black pooches were stacked on top of each other and were not able to move with their backs against the ground.
Supatrawadi Chanthanan, 43, heard the animals whining beside the building when she opened her shop yesterday on Tuesday morning in Buriram, northeastern Thailand.
Her neighbour, Pathumrat Chaipan, 46, was also alerted by the noise and the pair decided to call for animal rescue services.
Pathumrat said: "I first heard them at 2am but I thought they were dogs from a house nearby, so I didn't pay attention and went back to bed.
