A woman suspicious about her elderly father's care was shocked to discover he was violently being abused after she installed a hidden camera in his ward.
Noleen Hausler filmed the shocking abuse in September 2015 at Mitcham Residential Care Facility, which is operated by Japara Healthcare, in Adelaide, South Australia.
Footage showed carer Corey Lucas force-feeding her father Clarence, grabbing his arms and covering his airways with a napkin while aggressively twisting his nose.
She handed the video to the police and Lucas was later jailed over the aggravated assault.
Ms Hausler, who is a nurse, shared her late father's story as part of a case study at the aged care royal commission yesterday.
