This is the shocking moment a two-year-old girl falls into a sewer in western Russia as her mother can only watch in horror.
The unnamed toddler, 2, ended up in hospital with severe bruises after tumbling 10 feet through the uncovered manhole in Cheboksary, the capital city of the Chuvash Republic.
It was located in front of the entrance to an apartment block where the girl lives.
It was uncovered and left without safety fence by communal workers who were busy with routine flushing of sewer lines in the area at the moment.
The child did not notice the hole in the ground and fell into it when she was exiting the apartment block while following her mother to the street.
