Two off-duty Canadian police officer brothers were brutally beaten by a mob after someone outed them as law enforcement when they met up after their shift for something to eat.
The brothers were both seriously injured when they were attacked in downtown Montreal late on Saturday night.
They were in plain-clothes and off-duty from the Montreal Police Department at the time of the incident.
Footage of the attack showed the two officers being repeatedly punched and thrown to the ground by at least six people on a sidewalk near the Émilie-Gamelin Park.
